Mimi DiPietro Skating Center – Status Update

Baltimore City Recreation and Parks will open Mimi Dipietro Ice Skating Rink for the 2025-2026 season on January 3, 2026. We want to thank the community for their patience as we completed the necessary repairs.

Open Skate Hours

  • Tuesday & Thursday - 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Friday through Sunday - 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Facility Updates

  • We will continue to prioritize the community’s safety by monitoring the structure throughout the season. If there are any concerns about the public's safety following these inspections, City leadership will assess and decide whether the facility can remain open for the season. We will share any potential closings or updates.
  • Please check this page for periodic updates.

Long-Term Outlook

Mimi DiPietro has served the community for 39 years, but long-standing structural issues—including foundation concerns, dome integrity, and soil movement—were identified as far back as the 1998 Patterson Park Master Plan. Rec & Parks will engage City and community leaders as it explores options post-2026 season.
